I just went back and deleted a bunch of old entries that weren't applicable anymore (or that I was just tired of looking at).
I doubt I'll be posting much on this journal anymore. I don't have the time to blog, really. That, and I HATE this username.
I'm also making a conscious effort to distance myself from the furry fandom. A long string of bad experiences have soured me to the whole thing, and while I've lapsed in and out of furrydom for the past few years, the optimist in me knows when to call it quits. Sorry guys. It's done me more harm than good, it seems.

Well. Halloween is coming up, and since it's probably my all time favorite holiday, I decided to carve THE MOST AWESOME PUMPKIN EVER!

Okay. Aki Matsuri was all well and good. I rode down with Kim, and even though we really had no clue where we were going, we made it there in no time at all. The whole thing was pretty much hot japanese guys... like this one guy who was wearing a Hanshin Tigers festival coat thing and I was like "lvoe. D:"
It was tiny, and Kim and I managed to do everything in an hour. The best part (aside from getting a ton of goldfishes who are all dying right now thanks to my evil negligent mother) was the 11th grade japanese rock band of supreme coolness. They were so little and skinny and having glasses and they rocked so utterly hard. I love them, I think.
Bad part was it was kind of boring, and cost a lot of money and I didn't get to see Addison! D: My fishes are all going to die... two are already dead. If they all die, how can one magically turn into a genderless, hot human? Woe.

Well. Jesus Christ I haven't touched this thing in a good long while. There's a whole month missing wherein I became employed as a pharmacy tech... and that's about it.
I guess I should start writing again, except there's not much to write about currently. I mean, unless people want to hear about the ins and outs of counting pills and fending off drug addicts. It's not as exciting as it sounds. Trust me.
Other than that, I miss all my friends. Since my mom's gone insane, I don't really get to see them much... or in some cases (キンバリーちゃん！(-。-)) at all. I'm also debating on if I should go with Addison to Aki Matsuri (秋祭り) on Sunday. I want to go, but there are also some people I don't really want to run into. If I was more of a masochist I would probably say "yes" without any hesitation, but for some reason, I don't feel like causing myself awkward social anguish.
Speaking of which, this guy came into the pharmacy the other day for the first time and he was young and looked kind of nerdy, like he might be an otaku or something... I wanted to ask him, but I was too busy trying to figure out if he was into me or just socially awkward. I should have asked for his screen name or something, but I don't know if that's frowned upon or not. Whatev.

And now, onto the Otakon debauchery-fest (because anything involving me, Cap'n Skippy and thousands of girls in short skirts can only be labeled as "debauchery") 2005!!!

( Friday- It was early afternoon and the fog was settling gently on the moors. In the distance, there was the roar of a slurpee machine as the viking conquerers prepared themselves for battle. )
( Saturday- And lo, our heroes dragged themselves out of bed for another day of punishment. The siren call of hot asian ladies was speaking to them and they had no choice but to continue on. )
As for Sunday, Skippy and I were both so tired and broke that we decided not to go. There's never much going on Sundays at cons, and we would only be in it for the BECK anyway. My only regret is that I didn't get to laugh at Piano Squall in person. There's always next year, I suppose.
Summary: Youth! Power! Explosion! is the coolest thing I've ever seen. If you can only see one anime series this year, make it Yakitate! Japan. Psychotic lesbians are hot. Asian girls are hot. Rock Lee is hot. "4st", although not correct english, is decidedly cooler than "4th". I am now going to MORE hell than Cap'n Skippy. And always remember, "The springtime of youth waits for no one!"

I pre-registered for Otakon today. Pretty excited about this one. Need to get camera batteries to chronicle the insanity that will occur. More on that later.
I don't think I'm selling anything or doing commissions this year. I really don't feel like heaping something else to worry about onto my already full plate. God. If you people only knew the utter landslide of crap I've had to deal with recently, you wouldn't blame me for not being online as much as usual.
If I don't get a job soon, I'm going to basically be homeless (thanks to mom moving to Baltimore with her boyfriend). If I do get a job, everything is going to work out swimmingly. So basically my entire plan for the immediate future is riding on getting employed. If I don't, then I'm fucked. For reals. No pressure at all.
I wish Addison was online to talk me through this. I need some massive handholding as I am retarded when it comes to working.

I think Nina's power to lose phones is rubbing off on me. I had thought I had left it in my room but when I went up the other night, I couldn't find it on my bed. Then at like 2 am I thought I could hear muffled ringing... so it's got to be up here somewhere! Sad, alone, crying and out of batteries. So, very sorry if anyone's texted or called. And especially sorry to Phil, since I haven't been online. I've had my hands full scraping paint and putting things in boxes for the impending sale of the house. I don't want to move to Baltimore... and so I am tremendously depressed at the moment.
If worse comes to worse, I'll have to move in with my aunt... which would be pretty misery inducing too. Ah well.
I think I might go attempt to art something into existence... that or play the Legend of Zelda... or Star Fox since I have the SNES hooked up at the moment... and I'm too "WOE IS ME" to draw.
BUT! In good news: I had this awful hot dream that involved Snape, Harry and veritaserum in the boy's bathroom XD *PERVERT* Oh yes... It was kinky.

First off, I need to apologize to anyone who's tried to call me on my home phone over the past couple of days. The line inexplicably went out, and under closer closer examination, the phone box outside was found to be housing an impressively large ant colony.
... Not that I answer the phone anyway. I don't know what it is (and Kinbarii-chan can sympathize) but when the phone rings my initial response is to get as far away from it as possible. I never cease to baffle myself.

:D I have a new fish! His name is Carlos Renteria and I love him! He's a pretty male betta and he likes to read what I'm typing over my shoulder and watch TV. What an awesome fish. (Thanks for helping me not kill him, Kinbarii!)
Mom hates him, though. I'm scared to leave him alone with her because I'm afraid she might attempt to end his little fishy life.
I also went to Barnes & Noble and bought the Batman: Scarecrow Tales book. Good times. I read the whole thing in about an hour. I think it might contain one of the gayest pannels in comic book history. I'm about to go scan it in so everyone can see what I'm talking about.
Oh. I'm thinking about changing my LJ layout so that it has a scarecrow BG image. No. I'm not obsessed at all.

Oh man. My recent Batman obsession is like... for reals. I'm contemplating buying the DVD box set of the animated series so that I may watch it religiously and sink even deeper into mania.
But I'm like on the verge of maybe going out and buying an american comic! (Oh noes!) I haven't read one of those since... well since I read The Green Arrow: Quiver about a year ago. But it would be nice to get my hands on Batman #523-524 cause my favorite straw man is in them and he doesn't look completely unsightly (he might even be bordering on hot... it all depends on how much hell he gives the bat). So if anyone has read those two issues ("Scarecrow, Part 1: Dark Wings Fly Away In Fear" and "Scarecrow, Part 2: Haunted Houses of the Head") and can vouch for their awesomeness, let me know. :D
P.s. I hate "The Batman"! He's all like "Yough! Alfred dude! I liek sound 15. Less go punch Pengwin. K?" I don't care if it's meant for kids! Also, I will -never- forgive them for making The Riddler a goth. NEVER! I seriously almost shit a brick when I heard that their version of him was inspired by Marylin Manson. OMGWTF?! It's like bad enough that you have to make everyone ugly but leave poor Eddie alone! He gets the short end of the stick all the time. No one takes him seriously as a villain and he keeps getting Arkham prison-rapped by the Joker all the time in fan fics... and now he wears black lipstick... woe...

For all of you not familiar with the layout of my house, there's one of those baby gates at the base of the stairs leading to the second level to keep the dogs from going upstairs and menacing the cats. Because it's easier and the gate isn't that tall, most of the time we just step over it. With all that explained, now on to the horror:
I swung my leg over the gate when I was coming downstairs earlier, and my foot landed on a fucking shoe that was left directly on the other side of the gate in the dead center of the stairs. My ankle twisted and buckled under me and I fell. My other foot caught the gate and brought it down to land on my already twisted ankle. My glasses flew off. The dogs went running. It was bad times.
That's not the bad part of this story.
The real horror is that I was carrying my beautiful mac laptop when I fell. I was sprawled out on the floor, unable to move my right foot and I was having a seizure because I had dropped my laptop in the process. Thankfully it appears to be in working order. I've already lost one laptop to a falling incident, I don't want to lose another one.

Ack. My bedroom is all cold and damp now. I guess it serves me right for leaving my windows open during all the rain that happened earlier (and the drizzle that's still going on). I started to go upstairs to close them, but I got sidetracked talking to Kinbarii and laying on the nice, warm sofa.
Evan came over today and we played Resident Evil 4! No one can touch my knife fighting skills. Except for maybe that one zombie woman with the knife, who also happened to be making cat noises. Aside from her, I totally knifed a town full of zombies to death. I'm such a slow ass though and I spent a lot of time meandering around, looking for herbs and bullets. I also will never get the hang of the b-button pivot turn, so Leon will just have to casually look around while a zombie takes a bite out of the back of his skull.
Unrelated to zombies, I woke up with a sore throat a couple days ago, and it's still lingering around. I hope I'm not getting sick. I don't need to be any more lethargic than I already am. That and I hate the feeling you get when you're sick... It feels like someone putting a sock on your brain (which sucks).
